Cong Govt working towards the welfare of the people: Andhra Pradesh CM
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumra Reddy today said the Congress government is working towards the welfare of the people with sincerity and dedication.
Speaking to the toddy tappers around thousand, who called on Chief Minister at his Camp Office here for convey thanks for announcing Rs 50 crores to Andhra Pradesh Geeta Karmikula Aarthika Sahakaara Samstha, the Chief Minister made it clear that the people will understand that his government is the government that works, an official release here said.
People are very intelligent, if the leaders think that the people are innocent, they will face the music. People are very experienced, they have seen many governments, they are better judges, the Chief Minister remarked.
During the nine years of Chandrababu Naidu's regime, Rs 1500 crores were spent for the welfare of Backward Class.
During the last one year Rs 3,019 crores were allocated for the welfare of the Backward Classes. He made it clear that all the BC federations in the state have been allotted Rs 200 crores which is more than 2000 per cent.
However, as the Geeta Parisramika Federation being a revenue generating society, funds could not be allotted to it, the Chief Minister explained.
He said a one day workshop to resolve the problems of toddy tappers will be convened in January next year.
The workshop will discuss the various issues pertaining to the toddy tappers and find ways and means to solve them.
