Downturn in UK opportunity for Indian business
London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Chairman and Blackstone Franks LLP Senior Partner Subbash V Takrar today said the downturn in UK is an opportunity for Indian Business Houses.
Speaking at a Luncheon meeting with with UK Trade Mission organized by Andhra Pradedsh Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with LCCI, Mr Takrar opined that the innovative Indian entrepreneurs have great opportunities in UK, especially in the period of the downturn.
Mr Takrar also pointed out that the India-UK business has immense opportunities for collaborations as the UK economy runes through international business. 'We are here to do business and want to do more business with this part of the world', he said.
Andhra Pradesh CII Chairperson and Bharat Biotech International Limited Joint Managing Director Ms Suchitra Ella, in her welcome remarks, talked about the strong sectors for considering investments in Andhra Pradesh-- Agro and food based industries, infrastructure, biotechnology, bulk drugs and harmaceuticals, IT and ITes, mines and minerals, textiles and leather, tourism, automotive and auto components, gems and jewelry, besides others.
