National carrier Air India is required to raise Rs. 5,000 crores over a period of ten years through asset monetization, as per its approved Financial Restructuring Plan.
"Air India has appointed a global real estate consultant to examine its properties in India and abroad and to suggest a roadmap for the monetization of the same," said Minister of State for Civil Aviation K.C. Venugopal in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
The Consultant is in the process of identification of the properties, said the minister.
