As many as 633 recruit-constables of CRPF at RTC Peringome unit has passed out today after completing the 44 weeks of training, under the 131 and 132 batch.
State Home minister Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan review the passing out parade.
He exhorted them to maintain a high standard of discipline, training and devotion to duty throughout their career and serve the nation and the Force with great honour and pride.
K Arkesh IGP CRPF Karnataka Kerala-Sector, T J Jacob DIGP/Principal, Vinay Kumar Rai, Chief training officer of the training centre and C Krishnan, MLA were also present on this occasion.
Apart from these Districts and local dignitaries were also present.
Minister Thiruvanchur has said in Kerala a CRPF model force would be set up soon and government is planning that this force would be followed the same functioning style of CRPF.
The 44 weeks of basic training encompassed rigorous physical training, foot and arms drill, handling and firing with different small and area weapons, detecting, defusing and handling of various explosives/IEDs, counter insurgency operations, filed craft and jungle warfare, tactics as well as classes on insurgent/militant/ naxalite groups, IPC, CrPC, CRPF Act and Rules, Human rights, First Aid, Rescue and Relief, Disaster mitigation, Map reading, Global positioning system and General Knowledge.
On completion of the Passing out cum Attestation Parade, these constables will be joining their Units deployed in various operational areas of the country like Jammu and Kashmir, North- Eastern states as Left Wing Extremist affected states.
The parade was commanded by Rajshekhar rout, Assistant Commandant, Recruit Training Centre, Peringome.
