The northeast Monsoon has been active over Tamil Nadu.
Rain or thundershowers may occur at many places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

They are also likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal,Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and coastal and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland,Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand,Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, and appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat Region and north Madhya Maharashtra.

They were below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangtic West Bengal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and east Rajathan, and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat Region.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Telangana, and appreciably above normal in some parts of Odisha, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. They were above normal in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and some parts of Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Kutch and Vidarbha. They were also above normal in remaining parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram,Tripura, Odisha, east Rajasthan, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They were normal over te rest of the country.

Heavy to very heavy rain had occurred at many places in Tamil Nadu.
