Thirty elephants owned by the Guruvayoor Devaswm participates in a procession of elephants held in Guruvayoor in connection with the remembrance of the late Gaja Rajan Guruvayoor Kesavan, on Dashami day today.
The procession started from the Thiruvenkidom temple after Anayootu(elephant feeding) and concluded on the premises of the SreeValsom guest house.
The tusker Kesavan had been carried the 'Thidambu' (replica of the idol of Shri Guruvayoorappan (Lord Krishna) more than five decade).
Earlier in the morning, at three o clock the main door of the temple opened for 54 hours successively relating Ekadashi festival on Saturday.
Large crowd of devotees had assembled in Guruvayoor to participate in the Ekadashi celabrations. Pancharatna keerthana recitation was also held in the morning at the Melppathoor auditorium in connection with the ongoing 'Chempai' music festival. The fifteen day long festival will be concluded on Saturday.
