PDP slams BJP Govt in K'taka on Maudani issue
People Democratic Party (PDP) State General Secretary Nizar Mather today accused the BJP Government in Karnataka of misleading the judiciary leading to the refusal of bail to its ailing leader Abdul Nazar Maudani.
Addressing the press, he said as many as nine bail applications of Maudani were denied so far by various courts and this was considered as an injustice to a person.
Mr Ahammed also accused the BJP Government of trying to create communal tensions in Karnataka and Kerala with its approach to Mr Maudani's issue in a bid to retain power in the State.
He also accused the Congress and CPI(M) of not coming to Maudani's rescue.
Mr Ahammed also claimed Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy was maintaining silence on the issue under pressure from the IUML.
The State PDP would organise a 'Padasala ' to save the Maudani on November 29 at Thrissur Town Hall in which about 1400 party delegates from all districts would attend.
On December 10, PDP would organise a Malabar Sangamam at Malappuram demanding justice for Maudani.
Several Human Rights activists and politicians would address the meeting.
