British woman pleads 'don't send me to prison' after getting 3-month jail sentence for bonking in Dubai taxi
A British woman who was sentenced to jail for having drunken sex in a taxi in Dubai has reportedly pleaded to judges over not locking her up.
Rebecca Blake, 29, and Irish man Conor McRedmond, 28, who had only met that day, were said to have stripped naked and indulged in sexual intercourse in a Dubai taxi after a 10 hour drinking session.
Blake is currently free on bail but faces three months in a prison followed by deportation, The Sun reports.
"Don't send me to prison I've learned my lesson. The thought of going to jail makes me want to cry," the tearful Brit said.
According to the paper, Becky, who lost her 100,000 pound job with a recruitment firm and spent five days in a jail
cell following her arrest, has been stranded in the strict Islamic state for six months.
"I feel like I'm rotting over here. All my friends will be going home for Christmas and I will be on my own. Jail is
horrible. No one speaks English and you're not allowed books. You just sit there by a filthy wall," she said.
Though Becky admitted she had been boozing, she denied having sex in the cab.
"I was so shocked to be given this sentence. I thought I would just get a fine for public drinking," she said.
McRedmond was also given three months' jail but lawyers for the pair are appealing, the paper said.
