Three people were killed Friday on the spot and five others injured when a speeding truck hit a stationary vehicle at a village near here, police said. The villagers blocked the Gwalior Road for several hours in protest.
Some labourers were loading a vegetable lorry at the Gwalior Road, about 25 km from here, when a truck rammed into it. Three people were killed on the spot. The five injured were taken to Agra's S.N. Medical College for treatment, police said.
Additional forces had to be rushed when a mob of villagers blocked traffic on the busy Gwalior Road.
It took several hours for officials to persuade the family members of the bereaved and sympathisers to clear the highway.
