A two-exhibition-cum-National Vendor Development Program (NVDP) will be held in the city from tomorrow to provide a common platform for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), large and medium scale sectors.
The program, organised by Ministry of MSME in association with Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE), Hyderabad, will provide a common platform for MSMEs. large and medium scale sectors for a live interaction to understand their requirements and facilitate in establishing business linkages, MSME Development Institute (Hyderabad)Deputy Director B Vijay Kumar said at a press conference here today.
The Government of India is committed to provide market support to the MSME sector by way of poromoting MSME to become the vendors of Raiway, Defence, Public Sectors Undertaking and government Departments, he said.
Over 150 MSME stalls would exhibit their products in the exhibition and PSUs like BHEL, HAL, Visakha Steel Plant (VSP) and Indian Airforce and defence sector would participate in the programme besides banks which would provide finance for the MSMEs, he said.
Such program would also be conducted at Visakhapatnam (Dec 14,15), Vijayawada (January,2013) and next at either Kakinada or Rajahumdry, he said.
Last year, MSMEs procured Rs 30 crore business order in the same programme.
However, this year it was expected to get Rs 40 crore orders by MSMEs from PSUs, Mr Vijayakumar added.
