The authorities have imposed restrictions on Bandipora-Gurez road in north Kashmir for two days from tomorrow in view of the prediction for fresh snowfall.
Gurez, a border town on the Line of Control (LoC) remains cut off from the rest of the state for six winter months due to heavy snowfall.
However, due to almost dry weather, the road remained through.
Because of the weather forecast issued by the Met department for fresh snowfall, the district authorities have imposed traffic restrictions on Bandipora-Gurez road.
All the concerned have been directed to adhere to this order strictly as the step has been taken for the safety of the people, an official spokesman said.
