The Winter Session of the Parliament witnessed another day of disruption on Friday as the Lok Sabha was adjourned till Monday amid ruckus by opposition leaders over issues including the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail.
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2:30 pm on the second day of the Winter Session.
In the Lok Sabha, opposition members walked to the well of the House brandishing posters and shouting slogans against FDI in multi-brand retail and other issues.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) members moved to the well and demanded for the withdrawal of the government's decision on FDI.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members were seen shouting slogans against FDI and demanded discussion on the matter.
Both Houses of the Parliament were earlier adjourned till noon.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in the Lok Sabha, on Friday introduced the new ministers in his cabinet.
The Winter Session of the Parliament commenced on a stormy note on Thursday and witnessed continuous disruptions resulting in adjournment of both Houses for the day.
