Cannon and Cannon ball belonging to Tipu period found

A cannon and a cannon ball belonging to the Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan's period were unearthed by the workers belonging Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) while working in the busy Kalaspalyam Market area in the city today, ASI sources said.

BMRC immediately informed the Archaeological Survey Of India here, who took possession of the cannon and the cannon ball weighing 10 kilograms.

The Cannon and the ball may belong to 300 year old ruler of Tippu.
