With an aim to enhance the standards of learning and teaching levels of Carnatic Music, TTD has conceptualised a unique programme called 'Yuvalayam' wherein the students hailing from South Indian states learning vocal will take part in these youth festival competitions that are slated to be held here from November 23 said TTD Executive Officer LV Subramanyam.
Addressing reporters here, the EO said here today the five-day musical festival fete is been jointly organised by SV Music and Dance college, Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad wings of TTD along with Andhra Music Academy of Visakhapatnam at Mahati Auditorium.
He said about 250 artistes belonging to 32 teams hailing from Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala will be taking part in this musical competition.
"Every day during these five days there will elocution and essay writing competitions on great Vaggeyakaras, musical maestros who contributed a lot to the world of Carnatic music. The winners will be awarded on the final day," he added.
