NSG commando's family given compensation, pension as per rules: FM
Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram today said the family of Naik Surinder Singh, an NSG Commando who was injured during the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, was given the compensation money as per rules.
Interacting with reporters outside Parliament House, he said the formal statement in this regard would be issued by the ministry concerned.
'They have got Rs 31 lakh and pension of Rs 25,000 per month was also being paid to the family,' the minister said.
Reporters had asked for his reaction to ctivist-turned-polititian Arvind Kejriwal's proposed demonstration this evening on the general situation of the National Security Guard commandos.
