1996 Lajpat Nagar blasts: Delhi court commutes militant's death sentence

The Delhi High Court on Thursday commuted to life term the death sentence awarded to a Jammu Kashmir Islamic Front (JKIF) militant in connection with the 1996 Lajpat Nagar blast case.
The high court also acquitted two others in the case who had also been awarded death, while upholding the life term awarded to a fourth convict.
The verdict came on an appeal filed by the four convicts.
The 1996 Lajpat Nagar blasts had killed 13 people.
