Infant killed by dog's bite
A newborn boy in Britain died after being bitten by his grandfather's Jack Russell dog, it has been claimed.
The eight-day old Harry Harper died in just one bite while having his morning feed, The Sun reported. It is believed that his mother Mikayla Bell, 19, had turned her back on Harry for a moment when the terrier pounced on the infant in the lounge.
The baby was rushed to the hospital with a head injury but could not be saved.
The dog "one of several kept by the baby boy's grandparents at their small three-bedroom semi" was later killed.
Neighbours believe the arrival of a newborn may have upset the dog. One local, who did not want to be named, said: "It could have been agitated over the attention Harry was getting and just bitten him out of jealousy."
