UAE court convicts six for drug trafficking

The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court has sentenced three people to death, and three to life imprisonment on charges of drugs trafficking.
The court said three defendants possessed 53 kg of hashish and tried to smuggle the drugs to Saudi Arabia through the UAE.
According to the joint UAE-Pakistan investigation, there was a network to facilitate the entry of hashish into the UAE in order to re-export it to Saudi Arabia.
