Karnataka High Court today reserved orders on the bail petition filed by former Minister and mining baron G Janardhana Reddy, the main accused in the illegal mining case involving Bellary-based Associated Mining Company in which he and his wife were major partners.
Mr Reddy, a former Karnataka Minister and BJP leader, was arrested by the CBI on September 5 last year and has been in judicial custody ever since.
Justice H N Nagamohan Das reserved his verdict after both the sides completed the arguements.
CBI Counsel Ashok Bhan opposed granting of bail alleging that Reddy was interfering in day to day administration of justice and threatening some witnesses.
