New school uniforms next year: Puducherry CM

The Puducherry administration would change the uniform in government schools here next year, Chief Minister N Rangasamy said here today.

Inaugurating the zonal science exhibition, the Chief Minister said orders have been given with the government owned AFT Mills and it had produced sample uniforms.

He said such exhibitions are being organised to help students tobring out their talents for which the teachers should also assist the students.

Since, education is the basic need for any development more funds are being allocated for education, he said and added he had urged the banks to come forward to provide education laons liberally to the students here at the Chief Minister's conference in Bangalore yesterday.
