Kerala has emerged overall champion by collecting 120 points in Boys and Girls sections, while Delhi has been declared as runners-up by collecting 79 points on the concluding day of the 32nd Junior Boys and Girls Taekwondo Championship played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Naharlogun in Arunachal Pradesh today.
In junior boys category Kerala bagged 63 points, MP has been placed second position with 45 points, however, UP collected 37 and remained in third place.
While in girls section, girls of Kerala once again proved their supremacy by collecting 57, Delhi (50) has been placed second and Assam has successfully placed in third position by collecting 38 points.
Goa boys and Haryana girls have been chosen for showing best fighting spirit in this edition of Taekwondo Championship.
In today's events, under 63 kg boys section Jhohny Vanlalruatsanga of Mizoram grabbed the gold and silver medals won by Pawan Jhanjot from Madhya Pradesh.
While Rajat Choudhary and Subham Chourasia from Haryana and Jharkhand respectively have succeeded to capture bronzes in this category.
Another under 78 kg boys event Akshai M, Kerala has clinched gold medal, however, Rahul Sharma of Haryana has managed to grab silver.
Alok Singh from Chandigarh and Yogesh L Wayal of Maharashtra have won bronze medals.
However, in junior girls under 63 kg event gold goes to Gaganjot Gill of Haryana, Vimmie Moirangthem from Manipur has been remained satisfied with silver. While, Sonal C Kanade of Maharashtra and Bharti Saloniya, UP have managed to bagged Bronzes.
