Sehwag all set to play his 100th Test

Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is all set to play the 100th Test match of his career when he takes the field at Mumbai during the second Test match of the ongoing series against England on Friday.

He will join the list of Indian cricketers that include names like Sunil Gavaskar, Anil Kumble, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly , VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid and Dilip Vengsarkar, who have played 100 Test matches for the country.

Sehwag has scored 8448 runs in 99 Test matches so far.

He has hit 23 centuries and 32 half-centuries in his Test career.

He is the only Indian cricketer to hit two triple-centuries.

Sehwag scored 309 runs against Pakistan in 2004 and smashed 319 runs against South Africa in 2008.

The second Test match between India and England will start in Mumbai from Nov 23.
