The ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, which has 14 MPs, has decided to adopt a wait and watch approach towards the proposed no-confidence motion to be moved by the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) against the Congress-led UPA in Parliament.
Talking to reporters after holding a nearly hour-long discussions with Party MPs -- nine in the Lok Sabha and five in the Rajya Sabha -- AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today said her party would take a decision based on the number of MPs who would support the move.
Ms Jayalalithaa said so far no party had sought the AIADMK's support for the proposed motion to be moved by Ms Mamata Banerjee's AITC on the opening day of the Winter Session of Parliament on November 22.
Stating any no-confidence motion should be successful, the AIADMK supremo said her party would take a decision based on the number of MPs who support the motion.
