'Vampire fan' Romney beats election defeat blues with 'Twilight' and pizzas
Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney and wife Ann reportedly went for the screening of 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' movie last weekend.
Gossip site TMZ.com claims to have spotted Romney and Ann seeing the movie in Del Mar, California, not far from their oceanfront home in La Jolla.
The pair was snapped in very grainy photos, which show Romney allegedly wearing a short-sleeved shirt and his wife donning a red jacket, seen along with two unidentified young men, the New York Daily News reports.
According to the report, after the movie, TMZ says the Romneys went across the street for pizza, where the defeated Republican candidate cheerfully posed for some photos with patrons.
Romney had first admitted that he was a fan of the "Twilight"series during a 2011 interview on NBC's "Today" show, after he was asked about books he had recently read, the report said.
"I like silly stuff too. I mean, I like the 'Twilight' series. I thought that was fun," he had said.
"I don't like vampires personally. I don't know any. But you know, my granddaughter was reading it and I thought, 'Well this looks like fun.' And so I read that," he had added with a laugh.
