Kerala boys and girls came into limelight on the first day of the three days 32nd National Junior Boys and Girls Taekwondo Championship by winning three gold medals.
The Taekwondo Championship being played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Naharlogun in Arunachal Pradesh.
The other results of the day, Himanshu Khatri of Madhya Pradesh has bagged Gold in junior Boys under 45 kg category and Raghu Boro of Assam has able to capture Silver, while Hemant Rawat, Delhi and L Deepak Singh of Goa won Bronze medals. In 68 kg Manu George, Kerala, P Saravana Kumar from Goa have successfully won Gold and Silver medals respectively, while W S Momchand Anal of Meghalaya and Ashok V of Tamil Nadu bagged Bronzes in the same category.
In junior girls 42-kg section Umedha Rathi of Delhi, Gold, Pooja P from Karnataka grabbed Silver and Radha Bhati of Haryana and Priya Gupta from Uttar Pradesh successfully captured Bronze medals.
However, in 49 kg section Gold went to Milan Devi K of Kerala and Silver goes to Karuna S Patil of Maharashtra, while Jaideep Meena, Chandigarh and Lianthangphii of Mizoram were grabbed Bronzes.
While, Sharanya C V of Kerala won Gold, Sneha H Bhat, Maharashtra bagged the Silver, however, K Lalngaihawmi, Miziram and Nidhi Choudhary from Rajasthan have captured Bronze Medals in Girls 59 kg category.
