Brits spend 9 years of their lives watching TV
People in Britain spend 15 per cent of their adult lives glued to the TV, a survey of 2,000 adults has discovered.
Researchers for TV and movie streaming service blinkbox.com found. found that the time in front of the idiot box is five times more than the combined length the nation spends shopping, playing sport and having sex, the Daily Express reported.
Astonishingly, three of those years are spent watching repeats or what people consider as "rubbish" programmes.
Women watch more TV than men - 25.2 hours per week compared to 22.4 - and the over 55s are the most addicted group.
