The United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Russia have held talks over the persisting situation in Syria.
The talks were held Wednesday during the Second Joint Ministerial Meeting on Strategic Dialogue between the GCC and Russia.
The talks were participated by UAE's Minister for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Secretary General of the six-member GCC Abdullatif Al Zayani, senior Saudi foreign ministry officials, ambassadors of the GCC members to Riyadh, the Russian ambassador to Riyadh.
