Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen to perform at Sandy benefit gig
Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen will be joining a horde of other stars to perform at next month's Sandy benefit concert, at New York's Madison Square Garden.
The event, dubbed the '12-12-12' concert to reflect its date, will feature a Hall of Fame-worthy line-up that also includes Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Roger Waters, and Kanye West and the Who, the New York Daily News reported.
The show's organizers promise that more artists will be added to the line-up.
"'12-12-12' is shaping up to be a showcase of musical royalty," producers James Dolan, John Sykes and Harvey Weinstein said in a statement.
"The response of the entertainment community to help those most affected by Sandy has been nothing short of astounding," they said.
All money raised by the Sandy concert will be administered by the Robin Hood Relief Fund, an anti-poverty group.
