OMCs to share LPG security deposit hike in Delhi
New Delhi, Nov 16 (IANS)
The oil ministry Friday approved the sharing of increased security deposit for new cooking gas (LPG) connections on 50:50 basis between the Delhi government and state-run oil companies.
A ministry statement said the approval comes under the Kerosene Free Delhi Scheme to Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Antyodaya families and would help re-start the process of releasing new connections to such families under the scheme.
The security deposit for (LPG) connections was recently increased from Rs.1,400 to Rs.1,600.
