The Kerala Government has given go-ahead for renewing the service conditions of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
Briefing the Cabinet decisions here, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the Government has also decided to hold talks with the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) to solve the longstanding problem of employees who were to be given jobs in the coach building unit of KSRTC.
They were advised by the PSC but not given jobs in KSRTC due to change in technology adopted, which resulted in the employees remaining jobless, he added.
Pointing out that lack of doctors in health dept, public health and ESI is posing lot of difficulties for the people, he said the Government would ask PSC to take steps for recruitment of doctors on an emergency basis and the Government would amend rules accordingly.
