Bal Thackeray stable, security tight
Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is reportedly stable, but security continues to be tight in Mumbai.
Late on Thursday night, the party's working president Uddhav Thackeray, spoke to party activists outside the ailing chief's house in Bandra.
"Balasaheb's condition is stable and his health is improving," he said.
"Let's pray and not lose hope," he added.
A heavy presence of police and rapid action force continues to remain outside Matoshree, Thackeray's house, and other parts of the city.
The Centre has provided additional security forces to Maharashtra to assist the local administration in maintaining law and order.
