No political uncertainty in Andhra Pradesh: Governor
Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan today made clear that no political uncertainty prevailed in the state and all the government activities were going on usually.
Talking to mediapersons at AN University at Nagarjuna Nagar in Guntur district, he denied that political uncertainty prevailed in the state in wake of the withdrawal of the support to the government by the MIM party.
The Governor said he had not received any letter from the MIM party, withdrawing its support to the Congress-led government.
"I have not received any letter from the MIM party withdrawing support to the government. All the government activities are being done as usual," the Governor said.
Mr Narasimhan said all the appointments in Universities would be done under the guidelines of the University Grant Commission (UGC).
Replying to a question, he said he was unaware of caste based politics among students in the ANU campus. The Governor appealed to the political parties and caste organisations not to divide the student community on the caste and maintain distance to caste based politics.
The Governor was here to participate in the two-day Science Congress, being organised by the Acharya Nagarjuna University.
