Mokokchung DC orders govt employees to avoid politics
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mokokchung by an order asked the government employees of the district not to indulge in political, especially during the upcoming Assembly election.
According to official sources, Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner Murohu Chotso issued a public circular which said it is found that the government servants are habituated in taking active part in the Senso Mungdang (citizens' conference) meeting under Mokokchung District.
The selection of Election candidates by the village Senso Mungdang is political and it infringes the provision of the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules.
In this regard, the employees are hereby informed that the participation in its Senso Mungdang meeting particularly selecting the village candidate for the state Assembly election shall be on the risk of each individual concerned.
