Chandrasekharan murder case trial to begin amid tight security

Trial in Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekharan murder case would begin in the additional Sessions Judge Court, Ernhipalam here tomorrow amid tight security.

Talking to reporters after visiting the court premises Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) N Sankar Reddy said foolproof security arrangements would be imposed in and around the court premises for the purpose.

Kozhikode City Police Commissioner G Sparjan Kumar has been entrusted with the task of making the security arrangements for the trial, he said.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) that probed the May 4 murder, has already filed the charge sheet against more than 70 accused in the case.

A rebel CPI (M) leader, Chandrasekharan was hacked to death at Vallikkode near Vatakara in the district while he was returning home on his motorbike.
