RLD condemns killing of protesting farmer in Maharashtra
Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) today condemned the death of an agitating farmer in police firing in Maharashtra and said the cultivators are free to raise their demands.
UP RLD president Munna Singh Chauhan in a statement here said the Maharashtra government should look into the justified demands of the farmers and stop using police force on them.
The cost of manure, electricity and other items has gone up, therefore, the government should consider increasing the cane price, he added.
The Maharashtra government should give Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased farmer and Rs two lakh each to the injured.
A farmer had died, while some others were injured in police firing in that state.
