'Power struggle in Kerala too as load-shedding continues
Power cuts will continue in the coming months in Kerala due to low water levels in reservoirs and high consumption rate, Electricity Minister Aryadan Muhammed said today.
Talking to newspersons here, he said lack of rain and high consumption due to use of induction cookers created the crisis.
Kerala generates only 40 per cent of its total consumption from hydro-projects, he said.
The present one-hour load shedding in the state by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is not enough to manage the current situation, he said.
