Defence Minister's advice to co-operative sector

Defence minister A K Antony today said the co-operative sector should work to ensure social justice without expecting much profit.
He was speaking after inaugurating the seventh co-operative congress (sahakarana congress) at Thekkinkad maidan here.
The co-operative sector must help the poor and needy, including SC and ST, especially in a Country like India with a mixed economy. This sector is more important than private sector, Mr Antony stated.
He assured all support from the central government for solving the problems of the co-operative sector.
An International co-operative exhibition is also going on.
