Karnataka PCC Chief calls to end internal bickering
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwar called upon his party workers and leaders to stop making anti-party statments and concentrate on the Assembly elections due next year.
Speaking at the birth anniversary celebrations of former Prime Minsiter Jawaharlal Nehru at the KPCC office, he said 'We should put aside our differences and work towards bouncing back to power in the State.' 'Let your intelligence and power be concentrated on winning the elections, instead of tarnishing the image of the party,' he added.
Dr Parameshwar said there was no other option but to come to power to rescue the people of the State who are sufferring under BJP rule.
He said despite global economic slowdown, India's economic condition is good because of the strong foundation laid by leaders like Pandit Nehru.
He said the Five Year Plans have failed in other countries, in India, it has been successfully implemented and various projects have been benefitting crores of people.
Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader M V Rajasekharan said even global leaders drew inspiration from Pandit Nehru's works.
He said floating of regional political parties leads to threat to the country's security and economic progress.
