The Central Poultry Development Organisation, (CPDO) Hesarghatta, which had remained closed following outbreak of bird flu, will now be opened on November 16.
According to a release from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries the Organisation has been given sanitisation certificate and the School next to CPDO will open on Friday.
Post operative surveillance protocol is activated as per the GOI action plan. Outbreak of Avian influenza killed as many as 3,500 turkeys at the CPDO farm. About 34,000 ducks, chickens and emus were culled and disposed in order to contain the virus.
