Asif Ali Zardari hosts special dinner for Nitish Kumar on Diwali

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari met the visiting Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in the national capital Islamabad and hosted a special dinner for him.
Kumar accompanied by Indian delegates met Zardari at a special dinner, which was hosted by Zardari at the President's Residence in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The dinner was organised on the occasion of the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali.
Rounds of discussions were held between the delegates to improve the bilateral ties between the two nations.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Religious Affairs Minister Khursheed Shah and other leaders of the Pakistan People's Party were among the dignitaries from Pakistan.
The event was also attended by Faisal Karim Kundi, deputy speaker of the National Assembly or lower house of parliament, former minister Asim Hussain, a close aide of Zardari, lawmakers from several political parties and senior journalists.
The Indian delegation arrived in Islamabad after a quick tour of Sindh.
Kumar also met the cricketer turned politician Imran Khan.
Kumar and other Indian delegates discussed various issues with Khan and the members from his Tehreek-e-Insaaf political party.
Kumar, who arrived in Pakistan on Friday (November 09) on a week-long visit to the neighbouring country, held meetings with village council of the Hindu community of the Sindh province.
Kumar will also address a gathering at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad on Wednesday (November 14) before holding separate meetings with federal minister Farzana Raja who heads the government's flagship poverty alleviation programme.
Kumar's visit to Pakistan is aimed at projecting the growth of Bihar as a state and to attract investments in various fields apart from making and to further strengthen the bilateral ties between both nations.
