Meet real life Barbie doll Valeria Lukyonova
Real life Barbie doll Valeria Lukyonova, who made everyone go bananas with her 50cm waist - similar to Mattel's most famous plaything, has an entire spread in V magazine dedicated to her.
As part of the magazine's "Girl Power" issue, the cosmetically enhanced figure is shot by lauded fashion photographer Sebastian Faena in an image series not aesthetically dissimilar to the shots on her personal Facebook page and blog that originally made her famous, Stuff.co.nz reported.
In a bandana bikini, metallic gold material and overstated accessories, the 21-year-old Ukrainian bequeathed some insight on her character, shedding light on her professional life (she works as a teacher at the international School of Out-of-Body Travel), spirituality, personal interests (she's a new age opera music enthusiast) and haters.
"Many people say bad things about people who want to perfect themselves," she said.
"It's hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists.
"This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement," she claimed.
The living Barbie doll claims she's not obsessed with appearance.
"People don't understand that it has nothing to do with looks," she said.
"There are many good-looking young women, but why are they completely unknown? Because looks are just a bonus," she added.
