Northeastern man looted in Delhi
A 23-year-old northeastern call centre employee was looted by four men in the capital, police said Monday.
"The incident was reported Saturday in Maharani Bagh area of north Delhi when Haineube was waiting for his office cab outside home at around 6 a.m.," said a senior police officer.
"Four people in a car offered to drop him to his office in Noida Sector 22. On their assurance, the victim sat in the car," a police officer said.
"Near Yamuna Bank in east Delhi, they stopped the car and asked for his wallet at gunpoint. When he resisted, they slapped him and took his wallet. They asked him for his ATM pin, which the victim revealed," police said.
They later threw him out of the car in Gazipur in east Delhi.
A case has been registered at Mukherjee Nagar police station, said a police official.
