UK woman wins 720k pounds jackpot after wagering less than price of glass of wine

A woman from Gosforth, Newcastle won 720,000 pounds after investing less than the price of a glass of red wine in an online gambling game.
Finance director Sue Hope was gutted when her pals cancelled their weekly social at a wine bar, but she had a corker of a night staying in.
"If I'd gone out for a drink I'd have been in the taxi home when I hit the jackpot," the Mirror quoted her as saying.
Fed up Hope logged on and had a 3.20-pound game of William Hill's Fairest Of Them All slot game because it offered the biggest jackpot.
"I decided to spend the equivalent of a couple of glasses of wine on the game," she said.
"The cash reel spun from tens of pounds to hundreds of pounds to thousands of pounds. I started shaking. It settled on 720,167.30 pounds," she said.
She now plans to buy a property in the Bahamas where her dad Neil can retire; help out her mum Kathy, stepdad Bob and sister Catherine and take a trip to Borneo.
"A glass of wine would have cost 4.90 pounds. That 3.20 pounds was money well spent," she added.
