Silver, Gold soar
The precious metals rallied for the third straight session today, as Silver rose by Rs 605 to Rs 62,365 per kg and Gold advanced by Rs 250 to a seven-week-high of Rs 31,900 per ten gm on festive demand coupled with firm global cues, traders at the Bombay Bullion Assocation (BBA) said.
Silver opened up by Rs 440 to Rs 62,200 per kg. Till the end of the session, it further gained by Rs 605 to end at Rs 62,365 per kg as compared to its previous close.
Even, Gold edged up by Rs 120 per ten gm in the opening session.
Finally, it ended at Rs 31,900, up by Rs 250 per ten gm as against its previous close. Pure variety also increased by Rs 235 to Rs 32,035 per ten gm.
A positive trend was seen in Asian Markets, where Silver was quoted at USD 32.55 per ounce and Gold rose to USD 17.42 per ounce.
