The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today welcomed the decision of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen to withdraw its support to the Congress Government.
Talking to reporters at the NTR Trust Bhavan here, TDP deputy floor leader Gali Muddu Krishnamma Naidu said that the MIM has finally come out of the clutches of Congress party.
He said the decision reduced the KiranKumar Reddy Government to a minority.
He also requested Governor ESL Narasimhan to ask the Chief Minister to prove his majority on the floor of the House.
Addressing a separate press conference, TDP senior leader E Peddi Reddy said that the TDP had no plans to immediately introduce a No Confidence Motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.
He said 'the government might not collapse due to No Trust Vote. The TDP would take a stand if Governor ESL Narasimhan asks Kiran Kumar Reddy to prove his majority.'
