Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah today released a commemorative postage stamp in honour of industry doyen T S Narayanasami on the occasion of his birth centenary.
At a function held here, Dr Rosaiah also released a booklet on the late industrialist's life and times in the presence of India Cements Vice-Chairman N Srinivasan.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rosaiah lauded the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for bringing out a commemorative Postage Stamp in honour of late Narayanaswami, a doyen in the industrial arena, who had sowed the seeds for the growth of modern industries in Tamil Nadu.
"Releasing a commemorative postage stamp or a postal cover or celebrating the Birth Centenary of a great personality is not only to recollect his valid contributions but also to bring to light to the younger generation their life history and how they toiled overnights and had successfully broken the barriers and turned the obstructions-stumbling stones into stepping stones for success," he added.
