Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today announced that three more coaching centres for competitive exams for Minority students would be opened at Nizamabad, Cuddapah and Chittoor.
Participating as a chief guest in the 'Minority Welfare Day celebrations' a on the occasion of the birthday celebrations of Bharat Ratna Moulana Abul Kalam Azad at Ravindra Bharathi here, the Chief Minister said there were four centres already functioning at Hyderabad, Guntur, Visakhapatnam and Kurnool.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned Rs 15 crore for the repairs of Mosques and churches in the state.
He said as first Education Minister of Independent India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad introduced IITs which were the best in the World and UGC.
He said education alone could bring revolutionary change in the society. Chief Minister appealed to the parents and religious heads to help the Government in motivating the children to go to school.
The Chief Minister stated that several programmes were being implemented for the welfare of the minorities.
