Kerala gain 127-run 1st innings lead over Goa

A scintillating unbeaten century plus (125) studded with 8 fours and 2 sixes by Anfal P M guided Kerala to amass 382 all out in 123.2 overs against Goa's 255 and thus gained a first innings lead of 127 runs on the penultimate day of the four-day Col C K Nayudu Trophy U-25 plate 'C' group cricket match being played at Bits Pilani ground Zuari Nagar in south Goa today.

Goa, in their second innings at the close of the play, were 45 for 2 in 20 overs with Siddesh Ramani not out 18 and Vithal Gawas were at the crease at stumps.

Earlier, Kerala, resumming at the overnight score of 177 for 4, with Saly Samson on 5 and Anfal P M on 8, kept the score board moving.

Anfal, who played a sheet anchor role, played with determination and grit, and scored unbeaten century (125) in 195 balls with the contribution from other batsmen Nikilesh S 38 and Sandeep Warrier 12.

Anfal yielded 54 runs in partnership with N Niyas 12 for the 10th wicket and folded their first innings with a total score of 382 all out at Tea, adding 205 runs to the overnight total.

Darshan Misal 5 for 133 was the most successful bowler for hosts Goa.
