Integration of public sector aviation giants Air India and Indian will be completed in three or four months, Minister of State for Civil Aviation K C Venugopal today said.

Addressing a meet-the-press programme organised by the Calicut Press Club, he said the disparities in pay scale, perks and seniority of the employees would be settled towards the completion of the process.

Denying favouratism towards private airlines, including the cash-starved Kingfisher, he said all out efforts were on for strengthening the public sector carrier.

He said his ministry attached added importance to solve problems faced by passengers while working out strategy for the development of Air India.

On the travel woes of passengers in the Middle East-Kerala sector in the wake of frequent cancellation of flights and rescheduling without prior notice, he said many more flights to Gulf destination were introduced.

He said immediately on assuming his new office, he had held detailed deliberations with the Civil Aviation Secretary and the Chairman and the Managing Director of the airlines to address the issues.
