Advani offers prayers at Tirumala, reviews security

Veteran BJP leader L K Advani offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala this morning.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman K Bapiraju extended a warm welcome to Mr Advani and presented Laddu prasadam and a silk garment to Mr Advani in the temple complex. Mr Advani spent about half-an-hour in the temple and interacted with the members and officials of TTD trust.
Later, he took part in the Parliamentary Standing Committee meeting on Home Affairs chaired by senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu, along with seven other members.
The meeting discussed measures to enhance security at the hill shrine and at Sriharikota, TSRO's spaceport.
The Committee will submit its report to Parliament soon.
